So how long do you think it'll take to crack 3.0?

GTAVCS is looking insanely good, like, to the point of me seriously considering getting another PSP and selling it later just so I can play it when it comes out.

How long did it take to crack 2.0 and get LCS playable? What's the usual timeframe? Patience isn't exactly my strong suit. Sure, I could wait a month, but after that I'd probably go nuts.

if a 3.0 even comes out, maybe sony jumps from 2.8 to 4.0 and skips 3.x because the new firmware is so good (just like with slackware linux)

for one 3.0 is not even out...so how is anyone gonna get there hands on a 3.0 when its not even released which only mean one thing how are they gonna crack something that they dont have there hands on....if it was that easy to crack then y didnt all the other firmware get cracked by now

Yes, I noticed this too.

Orwell, don't worry, let everything happen, and we'll make the best of it. Chances are that VCS will be a 2.80 game, since there are already betas of it. Anyway, a little birdie tells me that the 2.80 IPL has nearly been decrypted, so, just sit tight ;)

Well, like so many people have said , you cant predict the future but ill tell you this:

When i had 2.01 i used to see EVERY thread on all psp forums,searching for news on a downgrader. One day before the beta, there was no news at all and next day.. BAM! it was out..
(What i mean to say is that it really not predictable at all)

Also, my bro says he saw some news about a PSP2 being developed(nothing near release), so keep your fingers crossed that after that, Sony deserts the PSP, i.e NO MORE f/w updates :D

theres no 3.0 and it usually takes a few months before the games come with the new firmware correct me if im wrong but the first game with 2.71 requriement was the formula 1 racing game that came out about a month ago
