I bought the Passcard 3 along with my G6 Lite, and I have some questions. I noticed a huge drop in battery performance while using the Passcard 3. I know if you use FlashMe to flash the NDSL you wont lose as much battery performance.
I'm wondering, is it worth flashing the NDSL if I already have the Passcard 3?
Also, I know if you use FlashMe you'll lose the ability to use sleep mode. I heard if you use a cart you can use sleep mode. Is this true? So you can use a game like Mario Kart that you bought and use that to let you use sleep mode?
These questions have been answered on other threads. Please look at them.
This guy is using the same setup as yours:

I've decided to give flashing the NDSL a go. I'm totally new to this type of stuff, and wondering if there are any tips out there for someone who is new to this type of thing. I know there are so many different types of tools to birdge the two points, but what's the easiest tool for someone like me.
Is this (http://www.ndshb.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=108) good instructions for flashing the NDSL?
Can you play WiFi and single card games with ROM's while using FlashMe?
Yes, that tutorial is an excellent tutorial. You can even download the video which is available near the end of the page.
I found that the easiest tool is a toothpick rolled up with aluminium foil. Wifi would work as well as receiving single cart download play.
Before you do actual flashing, try practicing shorting the SL1 connection with the DS turned off. This way you can feel the SL1 connection surface and test if the tool you made would fit into the hole.

Thanks for the tip, that brings up another question, while testing the tool, is there anyway to know if you're actually shorting the SL1 connection or is it just testing to see if your tool fits.
You could "feel" it. I can't describe the feeling but you'll understand when you practice it yourself.

Alright, thanks for all the help, I appreciate it. I have an interview in about an hour so when I come home from that I'm going to start practising and then go for the flash.

The flash worked, I now got a flashed NDSL :). I appreciate all the help, I didn't think it was going to be this easy :).
One question though, is there a manual for how to use features of FlashMe? For example, how do you boot a bought game instead of the flash cart, or how to turn on/off the brightness.
Glad that you succeed in flashing it. To boot to an original game, I believe you have to press select from the beginning. To change brightness, the usual way is the only way to do it.

FlashMe Start Process from Loopy:
a rough sketch of flashme execution, starting from the failsafe -
if a+b+start+select is pushed, jump to GBA cart
load the rest of firmware, jump into the loaded code
if select pushed, jump to original firmware
if A+B+X+Y pushed, goto flashme
if "PASS" or "DSBooter" identifiers are found, goto flashme
jump to original firmware
flashme:
load firmware settings area into ram
initialize various things (reset DMA, VRAM, touchpad, sound, etc)
jump to GBA cart
