This is an update for cwcheat it has new feature like multiple dumps, usb mass support and other things. Plus the cheat searcher is finally in English and searching for 16bit/32bit values was fixed.

[CORE PRX]

-now you can exit the main menu with O

-in the main menu if you press X on return to game (or O)

the prx will wait for you to release the x button.

In this way you will avoid not wanted keypresses when exiting

-in the submenus it will wait you to release O button when exiting

-now when you press up when you are on the first entry it will go

to the last entry. If you press down when you are on the last entry

it will go to the first entry

-in the cheat selection submenu you can keep a button pressed and it

will automatically repeat so you can scrool large code list in less

time

-Now dump are endless they will be made in different files till you

finish the free space on memory stick then it will start again with

the first dump

-added 33 mhz for cpu and 16mhz for bus

-added an enable usb function. it will load in game the usb mass function

so you can access your ms while playing to make cheat quicker and without

a card reader.

NOTE1: it will be disabled while dump to be re-enabled after

NOTE2: sometimes when writing to ms from pc the psp doesn't

flush the cache so if you change the database it could

still be not updated. if this happen a workaround is

ejecting the memory stick and putting it in again.

NOTE3: you need to disable usbhostfs to make usb mass work

-added "enable usb" options

-fixed some buffer overflow in the cheat.db parsing function

-now you can give to the game names up to 30 chars (before was 20)

-now you can give to the cheat names up to 30 chars (before was 20)

-now you can store up to 500 cheats for game (before was 400)

-other little things and optimizations

-now you can configure cwcheat from the installer also without the cwcheat.ini

[CHEAT FINDER]

-now you can force 8/16/32bit search or keep to AUTO like before

-now 16/32bit search have the right endianess (little endian)

so if you had problem with these searches before try again

-NOW IT'S IN ENGLISH AND ITALIAN!

someone with little knowledge of making cheats can only do cheats like money or other big values he has on screen written as a number.
you can load a dump with your hex editor or search it with cheat searcher. in anycase the reported adress is what you need. for istructions on how to use the cheat searcher have a look at the manual

SOMETHING IMPORTANT: don't use the installation function of cwcheat installer to update the meaning of that is only for first install.
To update use RESTORE

Is it possible to make a cheat searcher in something else other than vb? Cos I've noticed that the searcher is a lot slower compared to a hex editor when performing a search (Even a basic value search).

Or is there a hex editor out there that allows you to search for differences between 2 or more files and have it search for certain values in certain files?

I know winhex can search for different values in different files but it goes 1 address at a time... That makes it rather slow and manual...

Another thing I've noticed is that the db has entries that do not work for Metal Gear Acid 2 US.

The correct one is 0x202A0DE0.

Maybe you can add a way to edit the db for existing cheats?

I've already told Weltall about bad codes and he says he doesn't test or verify these codes before they are put in the database. Which is a problem because alot of people have been putting spam codes and dupes in the database...

Disregard my last post about the max points code not working. The problem is the money value is way too high. I changed it to 999,999 and the code works now but doesn't take effect until you buy something

Now I just need to know if the rest of the codes have the wrong offset.

I don't know how safe this is but I have been able to edit the cheat.db in Wordpad, save in MS-DOS text format, then in the in-game menu select "Enable USB option" and exit the cheat menu or it won't work sometimes, then tranfser the new cheat.db into the dh folder and then reload the cheat database and the codes are updated alot easier.

I used the restore option to update cwcheat and it killed my devhook installation so I had to do a clean install for it to work again.

So if I wanted to do a freeze timer code for X-Men Legends 2, what would I search for? I don't know if I'm searching for the number that's on screen (ex. 2:00 (minutes) or 200 or 120 (seconds)) or what.

Can anyone help?

All this help, and all this info, and I still can't create an infinite health code for Prince of Persia Revelations....I guess I will just have to wait for someone else to make one. By the way the address i'm trying to make a code for is 10139913, and 10139925...there were 2 others but I forgot.

i can't get the cheats to work, everythings seem to be fine but the cheats won't work, any ideas someone :confused:

It's usually easier to make codes for which there is a definite number... For time cheats, it can be stored in a few ways... number of seconds like you proposed and could be stored as 2 variables. One to hold the minute and one to hold the seconds.

For health bars or some bar cheats, you can only search for increasing and decreasing values or changing values.

Some of the cheats in the db do not work. There have been quite a number of spammers out there... Best to make your own codes if the ones in the db do not work.

The bof3 ones work, i upped them for sum1 else, you just need to press [] to go in the menu and then open the cheat database choose the full stats cheat and go to manually apply cheats when you exit the menu u should have full stats for the stats you chose. Also for the weapons cheat the weapon you tick becomes the weapon you use :D

I got it, they work now, i use the cheats ingame then they work, through vsh they didn't, so now i've got 999,999,999 Gold in Tekken :D

btw someone managed to add extra lines to the cw database making the program ignore the second batch of codes, if u open the file in list u can see that there are 2 nfs's and 2 bof's so delete one of the lines for them to work. Also some of the astonshia story cheats are under bof cheats

i have a problem with it iv managed to download the cheats bt how do i use them im using burnout legends and i got turbo boost x4 i selected it whilst playing the game but it dosnt work?!?
any solutions
