Hi,

I really want to get a flash cart solution that allows me to upload roms and homebrew to my DS Lite from my Mac via USB. All the products so far require Windows software to patch the roms before use.

The Neo2 seems to be able to play roms without patching, so would work with both Mac OS X and Linux. Does anyone know if this is actually the case?

Are there any other products I should be looking at?

Thanks for any advice. :)

DO NOT buy a neo product. They may say 100%, but I will belive it when I see it. All of neo's past products have sucked. Wait for the Supercard Microsd. It will be released in 1-2 weeks everywhere.

As for other carts that can be used with OSX, im sorry I dont know. But couldent you use virtual PC to convert the files? Maybe, I dont own a mac.

EDIT: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=25422 . Yes you can use virtual PC. So what I suggest doing is getting a supercard microSD and a superkey from divineo or supercardstore.com .You will need a MicroSD card as well. You can get a 1GB for about 30 bucks on newegg.com

Thanks for the info guys. I have VPC on my Mac, so that's good news.

However, I really can't decide which flash cart solution is the best!

The Supercard Lite looks good, but the specs say 'almost no slowdown' during DS roms. Is this a problem, or just between sections of a game?

Is there a better, more expensive flash card solution? An M3 perhaps? The G6 Lite flash cart is another option I was thinking about. Which has the nicest GUI?

The important factors are:

- Flush with NDS Lite case
- No/limited slowdowns
- Runs homebrew and roms (DS, GBA, Emulator / SNES etc)
- Ideally standard USB, so my Mac can read/write to it.

Again, any advice appreciated.

I don't know about G6 but the performance of the M3 miniSD GUI sucks. Especially that "this product is not endorsed by nintendo" splash screen.

Neither the NinjaPass nor the Ultra Flash Pass work with Virtual PC. VPC has has never worked very well with usb devices...

G6 works great with VPC - i just patch the files once, and get them output to my virtual 'c' drive, then drag and drop into a folder on thhe Mac - they only have to be patched once, and from then on you dont need the loader software, its just a case of transfering from one folder (on the mac) to another on the G6.
also, my G6 interface is plaugged into a USB on my keyboard and havent had any problems at all....
