A group have cracked the backup patcher called Maximum Overload for Datel's DS media players. They believe Datel's product is identical to the $25 GBAMP and cracked the overload app to make it compatible with the respect device. They also refer to the WWW console fag scene (thanks guys? , thats a compliment to get a mention :) LOL).

The Datel Max Media Player , is a device for Nintendo DS made for
media playback. A week or so after Datel released this device a warez
loader for it was sent out to the WWW console fag scene.

This is where things were getting suspicious, because nobody knew how
to utilize the I/O of the Datel device.. except datel ofcourse.

So we decided to have a quick look at this thingie and found something
very cool. The Datel(tm) device is in fact a COPY of another device,
the so-called GBA Movie player. This GBA Movie Player is a $25 cheap device which does exactly the same as the datel one. Yet they changed
some bits which made it not run-able from a normal GBAMP.

In the end it turns out datel stole a design for a device, tried to
make money of everything by releasing the 'third party' warez loader. So we decided to crack this *****, and now it FULLY works on GBAMP. Included is the cracked M.O. application, put it as _boot_mp.nds on your CF CARD to autoboot it. With the included *cracked* patcher u can generate patch (.PAT) files for the ROMs. Put the PAT + NDS files of the games on your root of the CF card, power on, and play!

So now all enjoy your ROMs on the cheap way, TRIFORCE does in no way
guarantee that any of them work or not, so don't fucking bother us with that ****.

So does this also mean that someone will find a way to flash the firmware for the max media dock, too? As for the MO, i kinda figured it was Datel that made that program. Too fast of a release for a patcher. What I still don't understand is why MMl does not boot up the docker. As for the MO, great job guys. I hope someone can get GBA to run on the docker soon.

One moment please...so this device is actually the same as the GBA movie player and it does play nds roms? I have a gba movie player at home, can I play roms with it?

Edit: Ok, I have tested it, but I didn't find out how to save...

Edit2: OK, saving also works, but some games are to slow if you have to disable the turbo load option. So I guess the m3 is still the better solution.

i am having a problem booting mo on gbamp.
i have nothing but the loader and the pairs of
files (nds and pat) for some games. when i load
the gbamp, it freezes at the "Filtering list" message.
how do i get it to go past that?

Well this forum is specifically for the Datel line of products, so Im an MMD user and Im assuming 95% of the others reading this are MMD owners. Anyways if the GBAMP is anything like the MMD (which they say it is) then it is an issue with your CF. This happens all the time on the MMD. Just copy the data off your GBAMP, reformat it, and copy it back. Then try it.

Did you try copying your stuff off and reformating it trick? Again I am not a GBAMP expert and you might want to look around specific GBAMP forums (this forum we're in right now is for general DS flashcart info, and not specific to anyone particular card. Heres a good site to start off with: http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/GBA_Movie_Player

I have Max Overload v 1.2, but what's the difference between this and the Triforce hack?

The Triforce hack merely allows it to be used on the GBAMP. It doesn't have any additional functionality.

does it work with Max Crass Method?

Well, I don't own a GBAMP, but I would assume so. All the Max Crass method does is put a compatibility-confirmed ARM7 file into the ROM of your choice... so yeah, I would definitely think it to work.
