that wouldn't be real wise to require system specs like that would it? how many people are going to buy a game they can't play? unless this is an indication of how resource eating Vista is as has been rumored about when the final version of vista comes out.

Im not to suprised seeing as Vista's rumored reccomended specs is 64-bit processor and 2-gigs of ram, and a Dx10 compat. video card

i have a gaming pc i built right before dual core came out. my specs pretty much meet everything except being dual core. requiring that would alienate alot of pc gamers i would think. making it only Vista maybe a bigger problem though. alot of people in polls and on forums don't want to upgrade to Vista. they want to try and force microsoft to release dx10 for xp. if dx10 doesn't come to xp i wonder if it would be possible for someone to make it work on xo, considering rumor has it microsoft had plans to release it on xp. and if vista keeps getting delayed will they be forced to release it for xp even if they don't want to.

i just reread and saw it actually doesn't require vista. just recommends it.

By the time the game is actually released, the minimum specs should be perfectly reasonable. I mean, c'mon, _look_ at the game, it's shifting massive amounts of data to look and perform as it does, it's gonna need the juice to do it. I'm sure they could write a game that would run on low-spec mainstream PCs, but what would be the point!?

Note the "Vista" and "DX10" requirements in the recommended-spec section - this suggests that expected release date is post-Vista which at last report was around February next year, so people have got a bit over half a year _at_least_ , to start saving for their upgrades.

I assume people actually read the minimum requirements section at all? It will RUN on machines of this spec, you don't NEED the "recommended" specs - that's mostly just to play it with all the eye-candy cranked up. I had a fairly cutting-edge system when F.E.A.R. came out and I couldn't wind it all the way up without framerates getting a bit jumpy at times.

Harden up.

Crysis is comming for 360 also, dont forget that 360 have a triple core. And it won't have to run windows so it needs lesser ram.

Thats why I got out of PC gaming, too much money spent on hardware that only games take advantage of.

Yeah thats true. And even then it doesnt feel the same as playing on a console. It always feels like there is something missing with PC games.

I dont think these specs are correct. I dont think many people will have a pc with these specs. Whats the point of releasing a game on one can play on?

How many people will have Vista too? Its going to be more unstable then XP when its released. Surely it will put people off upgrading?

My System:

Athlon 64 3500+
Nvidia 7800GT
RAM: 2.0 GB
HDD: Enough (500GB)

I think, it will be running at middle to high details, Far Cry was running on my previous System (P4 1700Mhz, 512 SD(!)-Ram, Geforce 2 GTS) too.

if this is coming to 360 i would suspect that there will be a major difference in what the two games look like. the 360 only has 512mb's of shared ram. a good video card has at least 256mb's just for the gpu. plus at least 1gb has become standard in most pc's for gamers. the recommended requirements seem so crazy, i still think it is probably because they recomend vista that they are so high. but i don't see a chance of this looking anywhere as good as the pc version on the 360 if these specs are accurate. you can already tell on pc games like prey that the 360 can't do the graphics as well a pc. i think if the consoles ever want to compete they need to put alot more ram in them. 512mb's shared is not very much. ram is always were the consoles try and save money and i think it hurts them more than anything.

Well the res is 1080i for 360(or better 720p) so then your less on the ram(look how a dvd movie looks in 480,you could disign a game that good looking in 480p)

How high is the res on pc????żżż Thats al the ram about.

Thats why wii have so less(only 480p if lucky 720p)

I read (on IGN I think) that this was gonna be a windows only game. Those specs are too high for me and I can't be bothered to upgrade any time soon so I'll drop the res to 800x600 or something. I upgrade when I feel like like upgrading and no 1st person shooter is gonna tell me what to do!:p

Maybe this is one of those things which is like the ps3. too much flash too little substance. like beyonces ass, which is over now. or like sticking your **** in a skinny supermodel who looks hideous and boney without makeup, and a really beautiful hot college cheerleader with plump firm tits and a nice juicy ass. (or curtis stone the handsome chef for some peopme - yes theyre out there).

basically, id rather play this game watered down on an xbox 360 than get a new pc. ALSO why would anyone move upto vista when people just got around getting used to windows xp?
