Access yor Xbox Hard drive with a file explorer, or FTP, and delete all files located in the E/cache folder, and all files on the X, Y, and Z partitions.
Another thing you can do, Boot to your Xenium Opperating System, select "Disk Tools" there is an option there to "Clear Cache Spaces". This method is not 100% effictive, and you may have to go in manualy and delete the above listed files anyway.

From the Evox menu select settings/system setting/ disable the TSR and IGR save and exit. Also you may want to access you Orgional Xbox dash, and set the date/time correctly.

I tried the TSR set to normal and also to disable both did not work I tried the IGR both with the same result but today I tried turning off the F and G drives there is only the standard xbox hard drive in it anyway but while trying to load a game the menu told me no disk and unknown a few times befor it recognized the disk as a game now I have read about adjusting the laser but have never had to do it before could this be the problem I am having I just dont understand a regular DVD played just fine I thought there would have been an issue with that if the DVD drive went bad what do you think?

I just cloned a 120Gb hard drive to a 300Gb hard drive on a 1.6 xbox + Xecuter3 ... with the help of GentooX of course... but then some backups wouldn't run afterward and new a iso image I had just transferred would crash right as I pressed Start. Very odd.
Deleting the contents of e:\cache and everything in x: y: and z: did the trick! FYI - I use Avalaunch and there are some font files (.ttf) that will not delete from z:
THANKS!
BTW, if anyone wants to upgrade their hard drive on a hardmod xbox you do not have to use a PC at all. Just install GentooX onto your xbox HD (has all the tools you'll need) then once you get to your dashboard, unplug the IDE cable from the DVD and plug it into your new hard drive (make sure the jumper on the HD is set to cable select) then unplug the power from the DVD and plug that into your new HD as well. Now boot GentooX and you can easily prep /dev/hdb and copy everythiing over from your old drive, /dev/hda.
And make sure you delete everything from e:\cache and x: y: and z: ;)

UMM, actually, if you have an Xecuter3 or a Xenium chip installed, you donot need the gentoox either. Both chips have the capibility of preparing a replacement drive, The Xenium has the capibility of cloning.
With an Auto Installer, (AID or Slayer) the whole process takes about 10-15 mins.

I dont know if you have tried this yet, but it may work.
Access you Xbox with an FTP program, Copy to your computer teh UDATA, and TDATA folders from the Xbox E partition. Now that the files are copied, delete the entire content of both folders, and see if you games will now boot. If they do, load all o fthe games in question, then FTP the files back to your Xbox.
WARNING The UDATA, and TDATA folders contain all or your Xbox saved games, music, user profiles so inless you want to loose this stuff make sure you save it before deleting it.
