I bought a Supercard SD and a Supercard SD Mini. (Yes I have 2 DS LITES)

I was curious what the Max Capasity is for these Supercards?
I only have a 1 gig SD Mini and it works fine.
I have a 4gb SD card and I cannot seem to use more than 1.8 gig on the card.

IS there a size limit? Does both MINISD AND REGULAR SD have a size limit on the card they can use?

Im also using a Superkey instead of flashing the Lite with a Pass device. Can I use the Superkey to USE FLASHMEV7 or do i need a passme3 and metroid first hunt?

The current supercards are limited to addressing a maximum of 4g due to the firmware requiring FAT16. This could be overcome via a firmware upgrade though...

Yes you can install flashme with the superkey...

I understand what you are saying......

Under fat 16 - isn't there a maxium amount of files that I can load on there? I got to a point where anything I tried to add would just give me an error - I only had 1.79 of the 3.8 gig filled on the card - formated under fat 16.

THIS COULD BE OVERCOME VIA A FIRMWARE UPGRADE........

OK does that mean that the firmware upgrade necessary is not avalable yet? Is that comment make in theory, or is there something to get a fat 32 formated card regestered by the supercard?

Let me know.

Thanks,
C1D

Try putting your files into different directories, you can't have too many files in a single directory with fat16. If that doesn't work maybe you have a fake card?

No I was simply saying it could be overcome if the firmware did support fat32. No idea if they ever plan to support it.

You can get the files on there. You just have to keep formatting your card over and over until you get 4gb. Or the two programs I posted below will help. They work by formatting your SD in a special way which allows you to recover all of the useable space.

I will try multiple Directories.
I've been just dumping all the roms to the Root DIR!
The format shows that 3.80 gig is avalable and that I have almost 2GB of free space - so I think it is formated correctly. - Though I will try those posted proggies if it don't work.

I'll try after dinner and post my results.

I don't think i have a fake card - BTW - From the Fake photos and what to look for - i'm 95% sure it's a real supercard.

Has the Plastic Circle on the card.
Green Circuit board.
Clear non faded label.
So i'd say it's a real card.

Thanks again,

Thanks guys it worked 100%

I had 3.8 gig

Made 3 folders (ROMS 1, 2, and 3)

Put 45 Roms + 45 Save Files for each game in each of the 3 folders.

EVERY US ROM fits on a 4GB card!

I love it - I can carry a whole Toys R Us Section in my pocket now!

Thanks,
C1D

PS: I am just using a Superkey and a Supercard SD.
My ds is Stock - Besides loosing the Health warning screen - is there any benifit to flashing the DS Lite or should I just keep my configuration?

Thanks,
C1D

The SuperKey works great and I don't know why users flash their devices other then to add features. I mean you can't do sleep mode with a flashed DS without a real cart in the DS slot. And the passcards of today look just like DS games so there is no real reason. Why risk the chance of ruining your DS if you don't know that much about flashing. I can see it more for the pros who do it just to have it done. Your setup is good bro.
