ReFlashing my DS Lite

'ello, I recently purchased a DS Lite, a SuperCard SD, and a SuperKey. Everything ws going great, and then I decided to install FWNITRO 1.6B, and it worked perfectly. So now that I didn't need the Passme device, I sold it to my friend, but now I discovered that there is no way to change the brightness and that FWNITRO has no failsafe feature, so I want to use the original flashme v7 for the lite (Brightness settings)

I download the file, put it in my SD card, than put it in my SuperCard, than in my DS Lite, and try to start it, but all I get is a black screen. I turn off my DS and I turn it back on, and everything is the same as it was before I tried to run flashme.nds

I also tried using the SuperCard software to patch the nds file, but than it just keeps trying to load it and nothing ever happens. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here?

hmm cant remember the link but there was a flashme with 3 files on a forum maybe maxconsole or somewhere else it had the standard flashme, stealth flashme, and original firmware

original firmware then install flashme 7 beta

err then again if you do original prob need superkey again
if your friend lives close by why not rent it or borrow it and try it

sorry never tried FWNITRO so not sure if it will work

Is there any way I can atleast boot into the original DS firmware from fwnitro? I haven't gotten the passme device yet and don't understand why I would need it if the firmware is already flashed >.<

Is there anything I can use wit the whole "Programming" option in the menu or the "Protected" menu in the Configuration menu???

I'm hoping to get some reply to this also.

I have an R4 Slot-1 card, and a launch day DS Phat. I had flashed i with FlashMe (newest, v7 or v8, don't remember) and all was fine. Then I decided to try FWnitro 1.6c to try the DS dump option to my GBAMP CF version. It wasn't working, and when I tried to boot off my R4, I just got a blank screen. In the FWnitro 1.6c package was a file called Old_README.txt that states:


The failsafe works like FlashMe's (A+B+Start+Select).

I tried A+B+Start+Select, Start+Select (FlashMe's failsafe), and a bunch of other combonations and nothing has gotten me into a failsafe mode to run noflashme.nds.

Are the users of FWnitro screwed?

FWNitro only supports older slot-2 devices if I remember right. This is probably a stupid question, but since I can't determine it from your post, have you tried using the failsafe with just your GBAMP in there? It will most likely not be able to boot your R4.

Also, your GBAMP does have Chishm's hacked loader to launch .nds binaries, right?
