ok, i am 'new' to the ds scene,

i used to have an original DS,(and gba) i got just a plan ol 1g gba flash cart to play gba games,(at the time i didnt want to do ds..for some reason)

since then i got rid of the ds and the gba and the flash cart,

now starting from scratch i got the ds lite, and i just ordered
EZFlash EZ4 Lite and a 2gb mini SD, Its in the mail right now from winsunx.com

my question , which has probably been asked 1000's of times, because i forgot how it worked for gba games,

ok here it goes,
i have approx 10gb's of Ds games that i acquired, and about 1.7gb's of games i will actually Want to play, about 84 or so, i know this sounds stupid to most of you guys, but thoes games come out to 1.7gb's which as Data will fit on my 2gb memory card, but ds goes by bit's not bytes..or whatever..

so in therey i will only be able to play example 4 512mbit games.. 8 256 ..and mixtures of each..right?

or is it actually data? so i can put 80 games on the memory card and load em up using ez4 lite + SuperKey (Old Version)(from winsunx)

quick explanation is all i need this thread doesnt have to go on and on, yes i know i am a noob and i should use the search , I am, and i didnt

thanks

well, first of all I hope that you misstyped 2gb mini sd because the EZ4 Lite uses MicroSD aka TransFlash not MiniSD and I don't beleive they make a 2gb MicroSD card yet.

regardless to answer your question when dealing with a cartridge that uses removable storage, if you had 1.7gb of ds roms and transferred them to a 2gb card they would fit. However, game saves are also saved to the card and they range from 256k to 1.5MB per DS game so you need to save space for them.

when dealing with cartridges that do not have removable storage (G6 etc) the bits and bytes rules still apply.

Sorry, according to winsunx.com there is a miniSD version of the EZ4 Lite.
