Well, when the episilion (sp) BIOS is released then yes, you will be able to unbrick it, as for the official EEPROM chip (on the PSP mobo), no one knows just yet. Keep in mind, however, that you will need a friend with a working 1.0/1.5 PSP to run the NAND dumper app to dump the NAND flash (which you can't do since it's bricked) so that it can patch the episilion to run on the PSP.
I have a bricked PSP also and that is what I know. I have a NAND dump of 1.5 firmware (thanks man! ;)), but I don't know if I can give that to you here.

here's how i understand your PSP would be unbricked. with a UP installed, your PSP would start from the flash of the UP. Your original flash will be unusable unless they find a way to write to it from within the UP flash. Your system would no longer be a dual firmware system unlike those who have a working 1.5 who can install a higher firmware flash on the UP (or vise versa).

afaik, the "flash mode" of UP could be switched to write the origional flash chip. There is also the possibility that epsilon (when it comes) will have some unbricking features too.

I belive thats true later as they recomend backing up your original sony flash incase of bricking, since it can read from the sony flash proberly later it will beable to write to it also.
Its been hinted at that the epsilon bios will unbrick the original flash we will see once its released.

start the psp using the flash NAND once i find the neccessary dump. Then i could update to a different firmware which will write to my EEPROM NAND. Would this work?
