I just purchased a supercard SD and am trying to update the kernel. The SD card is formatted with FAT but the DS just says no GBA Card in slot.
even when I try without an SD card in the supercard, I expect I should get some kind of error message.
This test was with the supercard in the GBA slot with nothing in the ds slot.
When I try with the passkey in the ds slot, I just get a white screen.
Please help. I need to make sure that I didnt buy a bogus Supercard or that the USA DS Lite isnt compatible with it for some reason.

It should work with the US console.
And you should at least get an error message like "SD card not found" or something.
What version of passkey are you using? it needs to be at least passkey 2 for a DS lite.

Do I need to have the Passkey in the ds slot for it to recognize the supercard with GBA ROMs on it?
This is what I purchased. It came programmed for Polarium (u). I did not program it in any way. now that I'm looking at it though, it says its for G6 and M3 even though it has the passme2 code on it.

I have a DS Lite working well with a SuperCard MiniSD with the firmware flashed with FlashMe V7. I also used a SuperCard SD, so the two work well on the DS Lite. All DS Roms work perfect, but I am trying to load a GBA game, if someone can help me on that would be great. BTW I am using of course the Supercard SD software plus I have tried loading the DS Lite on GBA mode. Thanks!!!

GBA games work for me-- they just take forever to load (30 secs?).
1) check to make sure your Supercard has been flashed to version 1.62
2) Check to make sure your supercard software (on your PC) is version 2.541
3) Make sure you don't apply any frills to your GBA games. Most of the time its best to just use default setting when processing the GBA rom with the supercard software.

I'm still trying to debug why my ds lite doesnt recognize my supercard.
Do I need to have a passkey with passme2 in the ds slot for it to recognize the supercard in the gba slot?
If I just put a supercard in without a sdcard. what should happen. should it just not recognize it at all or should it give me an error?
My european DS Lite didn't recognize supercard at first. It seems that if you push supercard all the way into the gba slot, it doesn't connect to the ds. try pulling it out of the gba slot just a little.

Thanks for the advise, but just tried it and still didnt work.
Should I be trying it with nothing in the DS Slot?

might as well see. If it isnt flashed it will hide all the .nds files, but will show up normally other than that, I believe.
And this may be dumb but have you tried to turn it completely off/on when changing the card? Inserting the Supercard while its on/sleeping does weird things to a DS

Thanks a lot. I was having some problems with my Supercard SD and my new DS lite, american, it was recognizing and loading the gba rom but it would freez as soon as it loaded or when ever I tried using standard in game saving or loading. It's a little tricky to get it in just the right spot though.
