Theres a huge thread, and lots of info on what it can do on psp updates QJ, but you cant talk about ISO's there....so i'm wondering if this can be able to stream the ISO's when you enable wifi.....it says you could redirect the whole psp folder, but has anyone actually tried it for ISO's?

Yes, that's what I'd like to know... if so, I'll never buy another ms. It's on to 2.5in for me.

Dont bother with that just put __SCE__ (only actually needs to be__SCE) in fron t of the file name and %__SCE__ in front of the file name for the percentage folder and delete the original percentage sign.
For exaple 2 folders one __SCE__file and the other named %__SCE__file

o alright, thanks. im setting up the usb now. gonna try the wifi in s second. its weird though cuz wherever you have the .exe for the usb host extracted to itll only see that directory. so your better off extracting it to teh root of one of your hard drives (for me its my D:// where i keep all my ISOs and homebrew.) ill be back when i get wifi set up. i got a shtty router so it might take a while :P

the __SCE__ naming isnt recognized with irshell
youll need to use seipsptool.
cant wait to go home and try this release. been using fa++ crappy ftp. and the webbrowser to download files.

alright, well USB hosting works good but you can tput it in teh root directory of a harddrive like i said. it freaks out and cant find certain files. you have to put it in a sub directory and then put all your files in that directory.i havent tried ISO loading since i only use devhook but the dax way would be fine. there too much other stuff i wanna see with this while its new. damn theres way too many key combinations to remember :P

wow this is really incredible!!!
im playing loads of homebrew etc. man, can somebody please tell me now what the sony PSP does NOT HAVE????????? seriously, its amazing! everything has come to our psp's!
oh yea, about wifi-ing for everyone: this meant the nethostfs.exe, which you should put in to root of your hard-drive for complete access.
go to irshell, run its configurator.
once there go down to nethost IP address, press X. now erase the address there and put your one in. to get your ip, co to your computer, go to start, all programs, accessories and finally command prompt. then type in
ipconfig/all
this brings up all you networking info. you see the numbers next to IP address? put those numbers on your psp now. for XMB streaming, use connection one. so for e.g. if youve set up more than one connections on your ACTUAL XMB of your psp, the ones you set in infrastructure, select the correct number. so e.g. netgear is my one so XMB looks like:
New connection
Netgear
Belkin
now in the irshell option, i would select 1 for it to connect to my netgear one and 2 for the belkin one.
once finished, press O, go back to irshell, and turn on nethostfs.exe on your pc. now connect to wi-fi on your psp, and if done correctly, text will come up on your comp, confirming you connection. once done, go to DIR view (press square) and on the 2 dots up top, press X. you will see options like nethostfs0, usbhostfs0 etc. select your nethostfs to see your computer files, and thats that.
also, make sure you got your dll's and things there with the nethostfs.exe app too.

Could you try and see if when running the homebres in Wifi mode, you could also use the ISO's through wifi?

i think iso apps may be disabled by the author or just don't work.. from what it seems before, he got upset because someone leaked a previous version which enabled an iso loader. I tried to use fastloader and umd emulator, and they give an error code. I haven't tried recent iso loaders, so not sure about those. It seems though that a modified version can be made of the iso loader to allow it to work.
See: http://www.phpbber.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=89&mforum=irshell
Everything else works great! I can keep everything on my pc and just run it straight from there. This is a MUST HAVE application. Even if you don't have wifi, you can still use usb, and there is talk about adding adhoc.

Well thanks for that not to sound un greatfull but I did actualy try that already but it didnt work the first few times but then it just did
You dont need to do "ipconfig /all" btw unless your wanting the MAC address and other information ;) ipconfig will do the job thats if you run a DHCP dependant lan network, personal I use a static setup as I run game servers amount other things but I no longer use a Cisco router anymore I use a Linksys one as buying a brouter costs too dam much for me to just play with :D .
Oh and prix firwall is insane im glad I didnt contine down the cisco route the Microsoft way is looking better in job prospects :)

Yeah thanks thought and I actualy know why now its the Wifi will not start if you over clock to anything abouve 222 so I start it at 222 then over clock it to 333 :D, too bad the MP4 videos im trying to watch decynce after like 2mins.
Maby its PMP or something else I will use for steaming Videos at home but it works good for other homebrew even the N64 emulator :o, too bad that does crach on exit still :(

i created a copy of my memory stick(working using devhook.41d) to my desktop called Remote Memory Stick.... i then placed the 2 files from nethostfs zip to Remote Memory Stick folder. I then started nethostfs.exe. From my ir shell on psp when i use redirect ms0: to host i connect and i can see my apps in the host app view but when i go to start any of the loaders ie: devhook or dax i get and error message. Does every one has this problem? What can i be doing wrong? Please help i would love to let my kid be able to play any of the 20 games we have backed up on my computer. while in the house. Props to AhMan, BOOSTER and Dark AleX

I am having one hell of a time with this app. For some reason I can't get it to load at all. I am running firmware 2.0, I have put all 3 folders where they are suposed to be. I have tried using both the GTA loader and one of the .tiff exploit loaders and all that happens when I choose to launch the iR shell is it just restarts either loader. Any help would be appreciated.

This only works with 1.5 firmware thats why you are not able to use it, only way for you to use this would be to downgrade your 2.0 > 1.5

I did much the same thing and got Dax to load via WiFi. But it takes a good 5 minutes between the time you select the Dax eboot and when the iso list is displayed. Even then it only shows what's on the MS regardless of the redirect. Not really anything to get excited over :(

Hello!
This is my first post and i think it`s kind of noobish.. anyways..
First of all i want to say that iR Shell is awesome program! Here is my problem..
__________________________________________________ _________________
In my power save settings i have:
-Backlight Auto-Off set to 2mins
-Auto Sleep set to 5 mins
__________________________________________________ _________________
So in main menu in PSP when i move to Game-Memory stick (not enter it), my
PSP auto-sleeps/dies/turns off or something, i don`t know what is it called. Power led is going off. But when i turn my PSP on there is no animation but i
instantly get the Game->Memory stick screen.
__________________________________________________ _________________
Sorry for my long noobish explanation.. I want to know is it posible for previously bescribed process(psp sleep) to happen in iR Shell..? I am talking about leaving your (my) PSP for 5 mins and when it sleeps led light goes off. And when you turn your PSP back on you automaticly get to iR Shell like before in Game -> Memory stick screen.
The only thing that goes off on my psp is the screen but i want the power led
to turn-off to :)
__________________________________________________ _________________
Anyone understands my question? :)
Keep up the good work with iR Shell !
