Viper only working when the usb adapter is connected to the gamecube

Hi,

Since I have acquired this chip, i've never been able to launch the bios of the viper without the usb adapter.
If the USB adapter is only connected with the flex cable it's not working either.
It works only if the USB adapter is connected with the flex cable and the gamecube (where the broadband adapter should be inserted).

In the viper official website, it is said that the connection of the usb adapter is optionnal.

Could someone help me to solve my problem, please?

The problem must be that the 5V wire is soldered badly therefore it is not powering the chip. So the chip is only working when it is getting power from the usb adapter.

thx i have solved my problem.
it was the red wire which was soldered to the wrong place.
