I just tested mine aswell and your right. Interesting, Although the importance of the Remote I think falls far below that of 2.50 Emulation :P

So im guessing this goes for all 3 versions, correct?

Too bad, it would have been nice for when your using mp3s and too lazy to switch back to 1.5

lol im willing to give up a working remote in order to use 2.5 and 1.5 at the same time. i cant even rememeber the last time i used my remote, i always found it sort of a hassel

Haha yeah. I wanted to stay in 2.5 when I go outside, but this issue prevented me from using the psp as an mp3 player. oh well :)

hahaha.... if i could only see the exact face we all made when we were
walking to the bus or something and we found out that the headphones
controller didnt work.

it´s not really a bug...

Devhook is currently in development; the remote port is being used to send debug info to a PC hooked up to the headphone SIO which requires the headphone/remote control interface code to be unloaded first.

I wonder If the socom-headset works?

hope it workz CUZ i was Building my Headset and it OK now The Sound workz just the MIC LEFT ti easy to make your OWN headset.

thanks for remembering I mentioned it before __b__ :)

Not sure how the first one works since the PSP remote only has 3 pins right sp, left sp and common (no mic in) but the second one (using the 4 pin headphone/mic jack) might work with devhook.

the info I found in ps2dev on the remote port doesnt mention the mic input though the pinout should show you why the first one (if it does work normally) wont work:
