That's the wire I used and it's the best imo, any thicker wire and you'll risk a short circuit.
They also used that wire in the review (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=17802) (on the left).

hey guys I tried installing the wires onto the chip. And the letter A gold spot burn off..So now I need you guys to tell me if I really screwed up or is this normal and I should add more solder onto it.

edit nvm..I notice that I was not knowing enough that the iron needs to be unplug when it reaches a certain temp to melt the solder. *sigh* I spend an other 20 bucks and mybe throw in those special wires aswell. At least there isn't alot of games I would miss out in 2 weeks, lol.

the wire found in network cables or phone cable should be good enough!

I strongly suggest the use of AWG30! Its worth every dollar you will spend on it!. Also the gold spot you burn off is simply because you held your iron to long to the spot. Use some flux! And with awg30 your solder will melt on the spot around your wire in LESS then 1 second. Flux & awg30 will make a HUGE different!
