Tell from box???

Does anybody know if it possible to see on the box if it is a Samsung or Hitachi drive? (like the firmware on the psp)

You cant tell. There were some theories about going on the lot no. or the manufacture date but they didn't work out. Seems they're totally random.

your best bet is using ebay. I just had a 360 with samsung drive come in today, bought from ebay ^-^
