Nice cutscenes. I wonder what the game itself will look like.

you can expect the game to look simlar to this, hideo isnt like the other game developers where they make excellent looking trailers then changing it.

all MGS trailers ive seen have allways ended up looking like this in the finnishing product.

also now that hideo has moved from konimi for his own company Kojima id love to see what else he can do:)

sony will need this game big time this year, but it says its out in 2007,that might be a problem for them,as the wii and 360 seem to be gathering momentum in the publics eye.
personally,im not buying into the ps3 till its a reasonable price, and even then,am hesistant to play another mgs game, good though they are,as,i can see more fmv tacked onto this version,as its on a larger storage medium, and i bet the game still can be finished in a few hours.

ISTR there being a bit of a difference between the level of detail on the PGS2 cinematics preview, and the actual game when it was released for the PS2. It's also more than a little suspect that the level of difference between the MGS4 cinematics and the gameplay of every other PS3 title, including Sony's own franchise efforts, was as steep as it was. And gameplay would have to include larger areas (meaning more characters), destructible environments, enemy AI, and physics engines, at least three of which weren't available within the MGS4 trailer.

As I've said before though, I'm not arguing that the actual game won't look amazing. But so far, I've seen nothing to suggest that it'll look as good.

???
what your Q was howthe game will look, and i said kojima allways makes the games look as good or the same as the previews.

it had nothing to do with the ps2, i just compared the other MGS trailers that ended up looking the same as the first glimpse.

you can expect this game to be a high 9 or 10 outa 10 ps3 game. (unless he makes the story too complicated to follow like mgs2)

but hideo and his team will rock the ps3 and/or 360 they allways make excellent games that look a master piece.

I'll reword my answer then. Months before the very first game was actually shown for the PS2, and by game I mean game action as it was being played on a PS2 console, there was a cinematic trailer for MGS2. It was the very first glimpse released for the game, and many were touting it as having graphics which blew away the most advanced system on the market (Dreamcast). When the game was released, even though it was popular and wasn't ugly like some of the PS2 titles of its time, the level of detail in the characters and the environments failed to live up to that shown in the cinematic trailer. In fact, not even the most impressive looking PS2 titles (such as God of War) ended up looking in good in the gameplay as MGS2 did in the trailer.

IOW, I gave an example of a MGS trailer which didn't end up looking the same as the first glimpse, which is entirely my point. The rain effects weren't at that level of quality in the game, the character builds seemed cruder with fewer polygons, etc.
