Qoob SX cannot flash bios?

Read through all the posts here, and im none the wiser.

Installed my Qoob SX today, I turn the GC on and it goes to the normal GC bios screen, the power light is on and the light on the Qoob SX is on.

If I boot up holding left on the D-pad nothing different happens.

How can I put the bios on?

I made a DVD with the bios on it, but I cant get the Qoob SX to go into its bios it comes with??

This is very confusing someone please help!

Checked all connections, everything looked OK but I put a bit of tape over the yellow and purple wires (multimeter seemed to say they were NOT connecting with the heatsink) however I put a bit of tape on whilst I was down there anyway.

Still same problem

I noticed that the green light was not coming on all the time now, I had to hold the connector onto the QS very hard for the green light to come on.. I held on REALLY REALLY hard and booted up.. I get the Qoob SX BIOS now!

However if I let go, no Qoob SX BIOS anymore..

Shitty connector.. I may hand solder all the wires onto the Qoob SX and post a picture later :D ha ha ha! Damn connector :rolleyes:

Ok its working now!!

Sorry I forgot to take a pic, but basically I snipped off the connector, stripped each wire a little, tinned

Then I tinned each point at the REAR of the connector pad on the actual QS

Then I soldered each corresponding wire to the QS..

Unorthodox.. but now im a very happy bunny ;)

I adjusted the pot from 203 to 137 as it would not read my bulkpaq mini dvd-r

It reads it now.. attempting to update

or get a new connector from the qoob people...

No need, its working I soldered it all on instead..

But now im having burning/DRE/can not read disc errors :(
