Best DVD-R for playing

Ok guys,I had the original viper gc chip and I got a new gc and installed viper exteme...now I'm still getting DRE with samsung and lg dvd-r...I'm almost sure its the dvd-r ... so I wonder if you could tell me the best dvd-r media that I can get...(hope to find in israel)

but my cube won't boot at all...ffs the guy who installed it i guess...

I'm having problems too. Don't get me started.

Make sure both dip switches are "off". If it won't boot anything, then put switch 1 "on" (the chip is disabled that way) and try to boot an original game.

its working now with my old samsung cds...the lg didnt work
i bought two brands of tdk dvd-r , how do i know what model is each one?
I need TTG02
One burn 2X-8X and the other one is 2X-16X

I use DVD Identifier to ID media. You can get it free here http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/
I hear that it's best to use discs that are most compatible with your burner too. For example, I have a 4X max Sony burner, so I should use 4X max media.

ok i had to open one of the packages and i opened the 2X-8X one and tried dvd identifier and it showed TTG02 which is what I need...do you think the newer one (-16X) so be as good as the TTG02 ones or should I bring the faster ones back to the store and get more TTG02...

Ouch, tough call. The problem is you really don't know what's gonna work in there until you try it. Maybe see if you can buy a single 16X and give it a try before you return them.

I think I'll return them for the reason that I won't be burning at 16X speeds...I can but I mean for GC I use 4X speeds and for movies and other I think 16X might be too fast

Well the only real question now is about my old working games
I tested the TTHG02 and it worked prefectly (SSX On Tour)
But do you think that my old working games can ruin the cube lens in time because their media isn't that good(Samsung)
I don't play too much games now...I mean I use to play more but I finished most so it won't be an hard job to re burn few games...so do you think that the lens can be ruined if I play with a low class media dvdr?
