hello, I have installed a quoob sx on my gamecube but I have some problem because the chip look like not alimented in energy because, I cannot start the gamecube because the laser and the motor don't start like the cover is not close but the green led of the chip is ON. Maybe I have doing something wrong when I install the chip, do I need to do something special with the red wire, you write 3V3 on the picture, do I need to do something special with that ??

First off, I'm not too familiar with the QS, but I'll try to help you as much as possible.

Check your soldering job. Check for solder bridges and correct placement of the wires.

Insulate the yellow and purple wires to be sure that they do not touch the heatsink (for Rev. A/B Cubes) or the RF Shield (Rev. C Cubes).

[note: No documentation for the following was available at qoobchip.com]
If you verifed the install is correct and everything is insulated and the Qoob BIOS will not show on the screen, turn the Cube off, hold left on the Cube controller D-pad (not the analog, and a corded controller), and turn the Cube on. It should show the backup QS BIOS, just in case a flash goes arwy.

If the backup BIOS shows, then you might just need to update the QS BIOS with a upgrade disc (burnt by yourself, search these forums for burning a BIOS disc). If the backup BIOS does not boot, uninstall the QS (rather, just detach it from the Cube) and see if your Cube boots the original BIOS.

If the original BIOS does work, then you might just have a defective QS. In this case, you have the option of returning it and get a new QS, or invest in a cheaper alternative such as the XenoGC or DuoQ if all you want to do is play backups.

If the original BIOS does not boot, then you might just need a new Cube.
