looks like this is a passme and SD reader all in one, that goes through the NDS slot. Good work Ninjamod team, hope it has great support for the files - I guess thats the test of time.

How could it be a passme when they say it doesn't require anything in the GBA slot?
EDIT: My bad, no GBA flashcart needed. Still, my point remains.

It reads the files from the NDS slot and not the GBA slot, so no Passme is needed. If it was a Passme(2) you would need a GBA flashcard and an original game to use it on a new DS/Lite.
80€ is a bit too high imho, I hope it drops to 50€ when it gets cloned :p

that's alot of money but if the product delivers and it's small i'm sure it's worth it.

exactly what I meant. just the one card, less battery life wasted, no bulky thing popping out the bottom of the device. Just it looks like you can haul the SD card out while in gameplay - which can't be a good thing.
I wonder if it will support GBA games and other NDS software well too?

No flashrom replacement and no need for a gba cart? that sounds too good to be true! the way the current gba carts stick out of the normal DS was going to be an even bigger issue with the lite model, but no more it seems.
nice.

i just got my M3 the end of january and spent $90+ with shipping, it works GREAT and all but it would be nice just to use the DS slot.
it NEEDS compatability as good or better then M3, cost less and it NEEDS to work online.
ill just wait a few months myself till i learn more about what it can do, if it works as good as it could then great, if not, oh well. ill just stick with my M3.

Given the quality of their previous products I honestly cant see this one being very good.
That said, now that the encryption is mostly understood/public, it wouldnt be too difficult to create a proper bootstrap/header that can load like any DS game wrather than look for holes in the executable code (passme redirects the ARM7 to a GBA cart by changing the game header), basically switch off the comm encryption (debug) and load a chunk of code (menu software) - from that point you could use a microcontroller to "bankswitch" (sort of) an SD card so that you can access a file on the SD card as if it was a real DS cart (without the encryption, since it was turned off...although the secure area may still need to be crypted).
From what I understand, the Neo MK3's internal flash memory does something similar (fakes a DS cart with flash memory) making compatibility with NDS ROM files very high, since they dont need software based patching.

im up in the air of what to do, i do know that i wont every buy another neo product simply because they bamboozled there customers with mk1 which i might add was there highest priced product. seeing as i already have a pretty reliable solution a more friendly priced one wouldnt be so bad, granted its decent in value.

Doesn't it look like it's sticking out? Or what does this image really show?

Im sure there will be some sticking out the top, you got to put your SD card somewhere.

It seems it's just a copy of Mk2 adapter from Neo, just check the info on tehskeen.com

somebody mentioned that they didn't have confidence in ninjamod because they make bad products. that is utter bullshit.
i have installed and used a number of gamecube mods and I think ninjamod is a fabulous product with a very low price. ninja has gone beyond the call of duty with their updates PLUS they have provided a version for free for streamers and owners of OTHER MOD CHIPS!!!! Support could be improved a little (the maxconsople forum seems to be the best place--an official forum would be nice).
NinjaDS sounds like an innovative product and who the hell would want a clunky passme hanging off their ds?
I will buy a ninjads as soon as it's released!

this looks really cool!
but what do we know about it?
Who says its going to be 80 pounds?? Where did that come from??
Any idea when it's likely to be available? Or just soon?
Any idea if compatibility will be great?
Why would anyone possibly want any other option if this turns out to be what it seems to be? In other words.. are there any disadvantages?
Would love to get my hands on one of these :D

i'm sorry, one more question
can we run emulators (i.e. gba, nes) on it too? or will i have to buy a supercard too?

I just got a Supercard, and am going to have to use flashme v6. This product looks like it could well be onto a winner .... IF the compatibility of the games is their, as for .gba stuff etc etc i dont think this ninjamod adapter will do it. but i could be wrong, i suppose in theory all it has to do is shutdown the main arm9 cpu once a .gba file has been launched ?! i dont know, still learning NDS and what can i say, the console is awesome IMO

Alot of this card will stick out. The passcard 2 is 3.5cms tall and doesnt stick out of my ds lite at all. This is 7 cms tall. So you have 3.5 cms (a whole ds cart) sticking out of the top. The m3 mini sd only sticks out by 1cm in my ds lite. Your better off getting a passcard 2 and a m3 mini.

but the m3 an passcard 2 are costly if this comes out with decent compatibility ill get it but otherwise ill have to save for a m3 an passcard:D

my m3 was 90 quid and the passcard was 15, so 105 if this comes out for 80 quid like someone suggested. It may be better paying the extra for the small form factor.

Wow this seems great. I never bothered to get any carts of flash my teal DS because an m3 kit was around 100.00 or so canadian and I could never be bothered to do all the hassle of flashing the fw because it was a newer Ds at the time. Now with no fw flash needed, this sounds pretty good indeed. so can this also play movies? For those of you who have played movies on your ds, do they look good and is it worth the time converting vids?

Hahaha, what a trash. Who wants to use that "thing" in a DS? it sticks out dangerously and ninjateam is totally not recommended for support after selling their stuff.
Only check the spanish forums where wilcd have posted (he is spanish) like elotrolado.net. They can't stand him cause he is fooling them every time (and creating clones for it).
Buy a M3, Supercard, EZ... whatever instead ninjateam stuff.
