help, xbox game disks don't read!

i have the king kong game for xbox. i got xecuter 2 as my modchip and have evolution x version 3935 as my dashboard. the problem is i put the king kong game disk in the xbox, then it says "no disk" in the top right corner. i press launch dvd but does nothing. i tried other games but the same problem. what is going on?

switching the game on with the cd still inside, like booting a pc from cd.
Anyway it depends on the xbox version or dvd drive (think so dunno).I had a samsung drive and xbox 1.1.it read all disk i put in.I sold that and got an xbox 1.6 with philips drive and lately L.A RUSH & Spartan didn't play.Even running on HD didn't play.is the game pal/ntsc that depends also no! try changing game regions in evox..maybe that will help.. cheers

i tried changing the game region and did'nt work. the problem is my xbox was reading discs a month ago. i did turn off the modchip a few times to see if it can go back to the msdashboard wihtout the modchip on, but then i turned the modchip on again. when i'm in the evox menu, on the bottom left corner it says xbox 1.0. how do i upgrade that?

Do your other games still work? Do Real, non copied xbox games work? There could be a few problems. If your drive wont even read a real xbox game or a dvd, the drives probably dead. If it will read read your old copied games but not this one maybe you burnt it on a different type of disc? my xbox will not read DVD+R but it will read DVD-R. maybe you need to burn the game again on a compatible disc, or try coping the game to your harddrive and see if it will boot that way.

dont worry, i fixed it. for some reason, all u have to do is open the xbox and diconnect the wires that connect the dvd drive.

no, i didnt mean that, i meant after u open the xbox and disconnect the wires that connects to the dvd drive, connect them again and close the xbox.
