November 2010 release, 5m units global ship, 14 games, and super-low sub-£50 price

MCV can this week reveal first details regarding the launch of Microsoft's Project Natal.

Our sources say the innovative controller-free 360 camera will be released worldwide in November 2010.

This and other details have emerged following a behind-closed-doors Microsoft tour of UK publishers and studios – the format-holder has been demoing the tech and detailing its 2010 plans in order to spur more development support.</blockquote>

Wow so thats arounf $80-$100 Us right??

If it comes with a game like Wii sports ( i mean 1 disc, multiple games) then I will get it. But if MS tries to pull the oh yeah the controller is cheap but the games are $60 each.....

Natal has a backup use for advanced office conferences since its 100% compatible with PC so its slightly more useful than rob the robot.

What concerns me is the lack of confirmed games, sure there's 14 games in the box (unconfirmed) but everyone else is still making plans and hyping it.

Looks like they'll have the price edge over the competition this isn't the first time we've heard this.

am I not the only one that thinks a year away is too long? Wii2 and ninty plus sony have one whole year to merely persuade the public something betters on the horizon.

Where did you head it was 14 games in the box? I have seen multiple reports of 14 games in development but from everything I have seen it sounds like many of those are actual real titles not a collection of mini games. Lionhead, Activision, Bethesda, Disney, EA, MTV Games, Namco, Square Enix, Ubisoft, THQ, Sega, Konami, Capcom and Rare are all rumored to be working on things...we know Lionhead will likely be Fable 3, Konami we assume will be incorporating motion features into Rising, who knows what the others are working on...but thats 14 different development groups so likely there are 14 actual titles.

Regardless..it looks like 2010 is going to be the banner year for consoles owners this generation...all 3 have fantastic lineups of just the announced stuff and all have lots still under wraps. My wallet is going to taking a beating.

You're right it wasn't in the box it said 'available at launch' i somehow read this as a mini-game disc :o http://kotaku.com/5402009/rumor-project-natal-launches-november-2010-14-games-might-be-cheap (Kotaku)

I know they're talking about development but so far i've not seen any solid plans or state their game will have natal support for certain meanwhile capcom are already making announcements on other systems, i just don't think this is far enough along.

Indeed 2010 will be a great year.... since all the games i wanted this year were pushed there :D Every few days i get spammed by online stores "The release date for xx game has changed to January 2010".
