Hey everyone,
A friend of mine has a PSP with a very temperamental UMD drive. It will launch a game fine, but it will freeze randomly after the game has been started, sometimes as soon as 10 minutes into the UMD. I asked him if its just the one UMD that does this (Jeanne D'arc) but it happens with others.
I was wondering if anyone has repaired a UMD drive here. Ive done this before with a PS2 laser that wasnt reading the disks properly...some pots in it just needed to be tweaked to calibrate it. But im assuming that the PSP is a little bit more cumbersome to open up and repair. I certainly dont want to mess it up any more than it is, but i also like a challenge. So if there is anyone here who has gone there...im all ears!!
His model is a piano black PSP-1001.
