<blockquote>Microsoft files patent for ‘343 Industries’, a suspected dev label for the Halo team
Rumours are beginning to intensify that Microsoft’s Halo studio has established itself as “343 Industries”.
Last year Microsoft Game Studios hired high-profile talent to its internal Halo studio, snapping up the likes of former MGS4 assistant producer Ryan Payton and Bungie’s Frank O'Connor.

You don't "patent" a name, you register or trademark it.

343 must be a reference to 343 Guilty Spark. Or as I like to call it...the annoying thing.
Seriously, how much more are they going to milk halo....the last FPS game I found boring and the worst yet (except for multiplayer)

How is it final fantasy can have a hundred iterations, Metal Gear can have dozens, Call of Duty can have 6 games in 7 years and no one bats an eye but Halo will have 5 games in 9 years and people ***** and moan that its "milking" it? If you dont like em dont buy em. I played Halo 1 on a friends xbox, skipped 2 completely, bought 3 but didnt care for it, loved Halo Wars though.

Have you seen Final Fantasy? Each numerical game is a different story totally. It's more of a collection of games under the same title rather than the same thing over and over. They have milked some of their sub-franchises--Final Fantasy VII comes to mind--but they haven't tried to choke the life out of the cow as much as Microsoft has with Halo. Then again, Nintendo could be accused of the same with Pokemon.

Have you played Final Fantasy? No matter how Square tries to repackage it, it's always the same game.

Okay, it's obvious you haven't. It's alright, I recommend playing Final Fantasy IV, VI, or VII first if it's possible.

I've played them all except 11. Fans of the series continue to love it. I started to loathe it around 8. I always enjoy the stories (with a few exceptions), but the gameplay puts me to sleep. Besides the addition of materia, want to explain the differences between the three you listed? You also must've forgotten about the constant remakes of the older games. Even games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Crystal Chronicles, The After Years, etc. Square milks the franchise for all it's worth and then some.

Final Fantasy is probably the most-milked franchise in video games.
