A survey consisting of over 100,000 teenagers has revealed that Sony is still the number one brand in its field. Sony managed to beat off the likes of Apple and Nintendo for the top spot.

How can Nintendo manage to beat Sony or Apple when we are talking about technology in general?

Sure Nintendo as a home console and a portable one, but how about a cellphone, a laptop, a home computer, a mp3 player, LCD screen and so on? These are all fields where Sony and Apple can win a consumer's vote with great quality product so no wonder they will be named more often then Nintendo.

Heck Microsoft is not even there, who would say: Huuhhh, Windows is my favorite!

I also think they use to make great quality electronic products back in the day. Now im not saying they suck but I think there quality has gone down and there is a lot more competition on the market. Good for them though.

The only thing Sony makes good now, are their video cameras. Everything else is overpriced garbage. Samsung TV's are MUCH better, Canon cameras are MUCH better, etc.

As mentioned above they are overpriced.. the balance of what you get for what you pay... Samsung TV's much better, but Japan will give preference to their own products over korean .. :o uhmm..but even that loyalty is breaking apart lately... They did very bad moves on these past 5-6 years... people is not happy with Sony on Japan, not as used to be.

Ya man. Sony camera's are not made like they use to, my brand new Canon is way better.
As for TV's, Sony do use circuit boards and parts from other manufacturer's, such as Samsung, etc. It's just a matter of economics.
