No More CFW? =(

I usually don't like people who post this kind of topic, but at this point I can't help but feel somethings wrong. It's been a while since 5.50 came out and I've barely heard anything about what team Noobz has been up to since then. I know they wont be making a 5.50 M33 but since they can't make a 5.50 CFW does that mean they've stopped from now on? Also on DA's site they've taken down all the PSP releases. Does this mean they've given up and wont be releasing new CFW's anymore? :(

there is no need for a new custom firmware the latest release from DA/Team M33's CFW 5.00 m33-6 and Team GEN's CFW 5.02 GEN-A works flawless with
the latest games.. if you want other functions there a lot of plugins for the PSP..

5.5 brings nothing new that is cool enough to deserve it's own m33, so DA doesn't make one, as always

Oh okay, for some reason I remember reading they weren't making it because an exploit was fixed or something like that, so I was worried they weren't going to be able to make future CFW's. Also when an update isn't worth making a CFW for they usually say so but I didn't see them say anything like that so that's another thing that threw me off.

There are so many things wrong with what you have said, where do I begin..

1. Team Noobz is not Dark_AleX and the rest of M33. They are two different teams. Team Noobz has not ever made a Custom Firmware.

2. Dark_AleX can still make Custom Firmware there is nothing stopping him. Except maybe a wife, child, school, work, ect.

3. Dark_AleX has chosen not to make 5.50 M33 due to there not being anything worth value coming out of that firmware, and the fact that it has bugs that he does not feel like dealing with.

4. It is true that 5.50 can not be dumped with the Latest PSARDumper. This is normally true when every new firmware comes out. Normally Sony changes the encryption on the files and it normally takes a couple of days before a new version comes out that can dump it. I'm just surprised no one has released a version to dump it yet.

5. Yes Dark_AleX's site has removed all of their files. They have moved them over to exophases new download section. Exophase is their sister site and there is no need to host them in 2 different places.

6. Team M33 has yet to state that they have given up.

7. The tiff exploit cannot be used on 5.50 this is the reason that specific TIFF file shows up as unsupported. Tiff files still work on 5.50.

8. There has be reported on the official PSP site that there are issues with 5.50 OFW. Dark_AleX does not want to put out a CFW based on a OFW that has bugs. This is because the retards of the world will blame Dark_Alex for the bugs instead of blaming the dev's of the OFW.

P.S.

As far as I"m concerned Dark_AleX is still doing research on the PSP-300x. He has not released anything lately due to allowing the rest of the community to show what they are made of. He is giving everyone else the chance to show what they can do for the PSP. He does not want to be relied upon completely and people like Davee and everyone else who was responsible for ChickHEN is showing that Dark_AleX is doing just that.

If Dark_AleX has cracked the 3000 or has does anything worth value. It is most likely that you will not see it until After October 2009. Why? you ask? because that is the release date for the new PSPGO! If he has anything worth while he will wait until it can be tested on the new PSP rather than putting it out and having the security of the 4000 changed before it comes out.

Until you see somthing from his site directly stop believing a stupid site that will publish anything.

3r14nd nicely put, interesting that no-one else can emulate what DaX has achieved with CFWs, the guy must be truly a superb coder/hacker/reverser :) We can only hope he doesn't get bored with the PSP (!)

I don't remamebr exactly, there was a point where Dark Alex was leaving the Psp hacking scene, because...I remamber on his old site, and from a news on Maxconsole, that his wife was death...and maybe, I don't remamber but also his child...I don't know if someone remamber this, or if someone can find that news...

Anyway...

Psp go; if there is a retro compatbily or the possibility to play in ad-hoc mode with old psp, this mean that will out surely a 6.0 firmware.
