Gamecube Memory Card

Can I use a gamecube memory card on my Wii? I see two slots for the cards, but is that for gamecube games only, can I put Wii saves on a GC card? But by looking at things SDs cards are obviously cheaper.

If I would play gamecube games on my Wii would I need a MC or could I just save them into my Wii (and later copy them to and from an SD Card) like I can with Wii saves?

ok to answer your questions:

1. you must use gamecube memory cards for gamecube saves. It is not possible to save gamecube saves to SD card or system memory (not that I know of)


2. you don't need an SD card for wii game saves. It will save your games to internal memory. You only need an SD card for backing up saves or homebrew stuff.

3. if you don't know already, there is an SD slot at the front of the wii, just open the panel to get to it.
