No, mine isn't broken, but I am curious about a few things:

I am asking about personal accounts, not what Sony would or should do, I am asking what were your personal expirences with these questions.

1: Do you live in the US, UK, or Japan? (Or other)

2: What model is it?

3: Is it a BC model?

3: What was wrong with it?

4: How long did it take to get it back starting from when they confirmed shipping you the box to put it in?

5: Was it under warranty or did you have to pay? If so, how long ago had the warranty expired at the time it broke?

6: If you can tell, did you get your same system back or a different refurbashed system?

7: Were your accounts and/or harddrive data restored?

8: Did you have any trouble restoring any of your data if they were not?

Ive never had a problem with mine but I have repaired two of them. One was a launch 60 gig and the other was an early 80gig. Both had burned out bluray lenses. Both had expired warranties and it was cheaper to fix them than send them in. Fairly easy fix, ordered the parts online and followed the tutorial at www.llamma.com.

Of course they work...otherwise I wouldnt call it a repair :) Fixing it so it doesnt work is just breaking it more thoroughly. :p
