Phantasy Star Portable [DEMO] USA Version Available

The DEMO is now available for downloading on the Playstation Store. You can directly download it from the store and install the game onto your Memory Stick. So far if you played the Japanese DEMO, then you pretty much know the concept of the DEMO already. The English voice dubs are great and finally feels good to play it once again in English. It came out Feb. 5th 2009, (today) so feel free to download the game, it's awesome. You can play the game on any Firmware PSPs, including Custom ones. The PS store will not ban your account, so have fun!

When I try to play the demo, I get an 80010013 error. Has anyone else gotten that error? How do I fix it?

go to m33 menu
make sure you adjust your kernel (not 1.5)
in advanced diasble the plugins i think then it should work fine

It hasn't worked for me.

I'm on 5.00 M33-6.

I disabled all the plugins.

I even formated flash1 and reset settings.

I downloaded the demo from the playstation store using Sony Media Manager. I will try your version next.

EDIT: I even tried dumping 5.01 and using the version.txt from it.

Thanks for the tip but it didn't work. I think I had installed the 3.71 to 5.00 fatsmod patch so I'm going to reinstall 4.01m33 and then update to 5.00 m33-6 and try again.

UPDATE.
Ran DC7 and then upgraded to 5.00m33-6. The demo still isn't working.
I have all plugins in the new advanced settings disabled.
I don't even have an seplugins folder
Game folder set to 5XX
No UMD is Sony
Speed up MS access is disabled

UPDATE
All the settings as the last update stayed the same. I had to download the demo from the PC version of the PSN Store using Media Manager 3.0 so that the PSP get's activated again and the act.dat file gets stored in flash2.

I've tried the two download links in the first post, activated my psp via the media manager too but it still doesn't work

I get this error:
"The game could not be started. (80010087)"

I disabled the plugins under: Advanced -> Advanced Configuration -> ALL of them.

And I disabled the Pops Plugin under Plugins-> and it worked for me.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I meant the Games Plugins, Pops Plugins, and the other one Under Advanced Config.

I also have 5.00 m33-6 and with the way things are, I'd say that 99.99% of m33-6 users aren't able to get the demo started. I mean, all these tweaks and adjustments just don't do it for me, and I'm pretty sure, if it doesn't' work for me, it won't work for others who are also running the same FW.

No I actually got it working now.

The problem is that with PSN 'if' you want to download a demo that isn't in your region (because I'm from the UK, and this demo is North American) you have to make another account or know someone from that region, log in to PSN via the media manager and download it from there [with your PSP connected].

Then it should all work.

It's basically what Tracksol said above.
