CWcheat on CFW 5.00 m33-4 help

I can't seem to get CW cheat to work properly. I downloaded the newest version and cheat database from the CWcheat site and followed the instructions to install it. I get as far as loading the PSP game from my memory stick and then I hold Select and bring up the menu, select my cheats, enable the cheats, then go return to game but the cheats don't work. I tried 2 games that were in the database, Ape Escape on the Loose and Star Ocean First Departure. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I am using CFW 5.00 m33-4.

You must press X on Select Cheat. In cheat menu press "x" button on cheat that you want active. "N" letter must became "Y".

Now press "circle " button and return in main menu and press "X" button on ENABLE CHEAT". The "n" letter must bacame "y".

Now, return in game.

Cheat not always work, because some code don't work, or there are game were cheat work and after don't work anymore. For example this happen with Tomb Raider and Silent Hill Origin.

I actually just tried it again and you are right, some of the codes do not work. I tried a few different codes and some worked and some didn't. Thank you for responding and helping me out, I really appreciate it.

yeah and you can find more codes just by using google like monster hunter freedom 2 for example. If I wanted the hp code that I've heard about, then I just search on google and voila!
