So I updated my firmware to 5.00 M33-4 and got a problem with the video-out of my slim.
When the option is set to 'progressive' and when I play PSX games, the whole screen is shaky. Everything is in fullscreen though, but it shakes as if it cannot display it in progressive scan.
When I select it to use interlaced, it works fine (but crappy quality).

PSP games, videos and other things work fine however, it's only psx games with progressive scan turned on. Any way to fix this?

edit: it's also the case with original bought Psone games from the PSStore.

Try a homebrew called FuSa

Just tried that and it doesn't support psx games on 5.00. Oh well, maybe it's just my TV, thanks though.

why the hell can't I find a slim out hdmi cable?
It would be perfect for my 42" plasma since 1 hdmi is on front of tv instead of going behind the monster with component.

Because they don't exist.

hdmi = digital, not analog, output = not digital, hence cable doesn't exist.

ps1 games are not progressive scan, and the psp doesn't make em progressive scan.. yell have to play em @ interlaced :) And it's gonna stay crappy quality no matter what.. :/

When I select 3.5 with popsloader, it does display it in progressive. But like I said, maybe it's my TV.
Other people seem to run these games fine btw.

That's not true, I play them fullscreen and in 480p. It's a similar upscaling like on the PS3.
