Evil UK Mother gets a PS3 in jail for being a 'model prisoner'

Downright EVIL Mother Karen Mathews has been given a PS3 in jail as a reward for being a 'model prisoner'. Mathews arranged for the kidnap of her very own daughter in order to claim reward money and is now an 'enhanced' prisoner due to her in-prison behaviour. She also enjoys a DVD player and TV in her cell.



Matthews, 33, is being housed on the "Care and Separation" - segregation - unit of New Hall Prison in Wakefield, West Yorks, where inmates can also watch a large plasma screen TV in the communal area.

But it's not all cushy for Matthews. She has to spend part of her time working as a cleaner and earns £10 a week - in the first job she has ever had. Matthews is waiting to be sentenced after being convicted of faking nine-year-old Shannon's disappearance with Michael Donovan, 40.

A prison source said: "She has kept her nose clean and is pretty much a model inmate. As a result, she's entitled to a PlayStation in her room and DVD player.

"It's unbelievable really that she can be so pampered after what she did to her own daughter. She just lounges around watching telly and playing on her console.

Model Prisoner? Ofcourse she's going to be a model prisoner, even the other inmates wouldn't want to come close to such a vile person who would drug and have her own child kidnapped. she should be locking up in solitary confinement forced to watch the teletubbies all day.

I remember when we Dewsbury locals were proud of our little town, but with the suicide bombers and kidnappings it's become a right farce. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a hollywood movie based on the exploits of Dewsbury locals.

PS3s are not allowed in UK prisons because of their WiFi capability. Inmates are not to send/receive messages whilst inside.

Probably a PS1 or PS2, the article just says "Playstation". But then there are some useless PS3 "facts" below it.

Im not sure how taxes and all that work in england.. but if you have to pay taxes, and those dollars go towards housing inmates... and they are allowed to have something you cant buy... I would be furiated..

Did anyone click on the article? If you didn't, DO IT! I was like "How evil can she be?" until I saw her picture, then my sympathy vanished. Which is unfortunate, because that's pretty much appearance-discrimination, but what can you do...

The PlayStation 3 is an amazing console so why does an evil woman like her that deserves to be gunned down and buried at sea get the chance to play on a PlayStation 3.
