View Full Version : Wiikey 1.9s problems

Its been a while since I messed with my Wii, but I finally got around too it, wanting to play a few games I haven't gotten around to yet. So first thing I did was update my wiikey to 1.9s and then played a freshly burned House of the . All went well. Then this morning I went to play a freshly burn Umbrella Chronicles and it said it couldn't read the disk. So I tried the HotD disk and it also wouldn't read. Now I can't get any backup to play except my old ones from months ago. What can I do to correct this?

I believe the rise in errors with newly burnt games is due to the soft mod backup loaders. Many of the ISOs out are patched or modded or whatever they do to them for the backup loaders...and thus do not operate in a mod chipped wii... (stupid soft modders)

I would think that as well, except I can get the 1.9s update to work, but when I try to load the configuration disk it give me the gamecube loading screen but when I load it i get the black screen error and it tells me I need to restart the gamecube. I also can't even get that to happen when I use Sony DVD-R, only when I use Philips DVD+R. And don't forget I did have house of the dead working at first.

Could the update be corrupt? Also remember to run the config disc after.

It wont let me run the config, should I try re updating it with a new download and burn. The update says it works fine, but I guess there could be an error.

I re downloaded and re burned and still no luck, wont play new backups or the config disk.
