halo & halo 2 on xbox 360?

i just got the xbox 360 yesterday, so i'm pretty new :o

can i buy halo and halo 2 and play them on xbox 360? or is downloading them off xbox live my only option? i'd like to buy them because i want the cases too :p

Yep, if you buy halo 1 or 2 they will both still work on the xbox 360. there is no need to buy them over xbox live. i have tested and played both.:D:D

Nah, just tried it. When you put an original Xbox game in, you don't get the options menu like you do with a 360 game. Maybe they'll change that later though.

sorry to confuse you. halo 1 and 2 (along with most of the old xbox 1 games) work on the 360. but they do not install, you can still play them tho.

simpler:


with the new update you are able to install xbox 360 games, to make them load faster and stuff... but xbox 1 games are not able to be installed. but you can still play them.

Halo sucks. If only 360 fanboys had better common sense, they would of have realized that Beat'n Groovy is still the best game for 360 ... :rolleyes:

I run them both fine. Halo 1 won't run in widescreen however
