Has there been any news about Microsoft's making a bigger HDD for 360? That is, more than 120GB, and will it ever be possible?
it would be possible for ms to make a bigger hdd but would you pay 200 quid for a 250 gig drive
i wouldn't

Well once NXE is officially out then everyone is gonna want to store there games onto the HDD
It won't take long to fill up a 120Gb drive

true.... nxe makes me want a bigger hard drive... been reading around and a drive can possibly be put in, of course bigger than 120gb, but it has to be a western digital BEVS type of drive, WD2500BEVS for a model number (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136123) example. i might buy one and test things out... i just don't want to get banned on xbox live is all.... i'd be willing to open the hard drive shell b/c i've already banned all warranties with microsoft b/c i have a cutom ase and what not. the formatting, and even backing up the old info will definitely be a pain though i'm sure.

Until there is an official hard drive released by M$, you will not be able to have any retro-fitted hard disk larger than the currently available 120gb.
The reason is you need to extract sectors 16-22 from a genuine m$ 120GB (using hddhackr v0.91) to get your hddss.bin, to flash to your wd bevs drive, I have just done this mod a week ago so for the very same reason most people here would, with NXE being released with the hdd install option, it is still very fresh in my mind.
You can use the larger drive and flash the hddss.bin from a 120GB drive to it, however you WILL only have 120GB usable space so there is no point in doing so.
If you need more info on this process, search google, many people have done it.
