One of our intrepid readers compared the current U.S. backward-compatibility games list for the Xbox 360 with an older version saved locally, and came up with a few missing titles that had been included before.

After comparing the current list with the one transferred to an Excel spreadsheet a while back, he concluded that the following games had been excised from the master list (in its current form): Catwoman, Codename: Kids Next Door, Curse: The Eye of Isis, NBA LIVE 2003, Sid Meier’s Pirates, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Considering the plan to keep adding games to the BC list as time goes on, it’s a little discouraging to see titles removed from the list. If the BC team found severe bugs while running the games on the 360, however, it makes sense to take them off the master list until they can be fixed. Props to Excel aficionados everywhere, but Catwoman most likely won’t be missed.

Yes I see, and the ones that I have played have some real issues with the emulation not at 100%. So far I have tried Sega GT 2002 which is basically unplayable. I swear it must be running at like 10 fps, and the control response time is not pretty. The other game I tried was Rainbow Six 3 Broken Arrow. A little better on the framerate but something still seems off.

I hope that MS fixes this fast thru an online patch.

I haven't bothered to try too many original xbox games with the 360, actually only tried 1. Fable: The Lost Chapters, and I didn't like how it ran. It seemed to run way too slow, I don't know any other way to explain it.

I dont get it. Why would you want to run your xbox games on your xbox 360 when you already own a xbox? Or did people go out and buy xbox games without owning the console?

Well I for one have had my xbox and games for a long time, I much like a lot of other people basically just wanted to see how the games ran on the 360. Shouldn't have been that hard to figure out. Perhaps people either sold their xbox to get the 360 or had to make room for the 360 so they put their xbox back in the box. There are a lot of reasons why people would want to play the original xbox games on the 360.
