MS28 Bad Flash bricked please help!

Hello, I've got a problem with my xbox I think I've managed to brick it. Im using an MS28 drive with SATA VIA 6241 card and MTKFlash firmware extreme version 3.3.

I have the back up file and made sure that the serial from orig corresponded with exreme software before flashing however when it came to flashing the drive it crashed at 17% on the 2nd one. Now I cannot seem to re flash it when I plug it into the TV I get an error code at start and the bottom right LED on the Xbox Unit is Red

Is there a way I can reflash it or is it now bricked?

At the moment it will register with MTK i.e. I can see it and select it but after selecting the drive and turning the xbox360 back on after 10 seconds nothing happens (only the VIA card beeps one long tone until I turn the computer off).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

if you find 10sec trick dont work then one word for you:
dosflash32 (v1.6 i think is latest)

just before you open dosflash32 turn power going to the drive.it will ask to send mtkintro,click yes,turn off the power then turn on.if you get freezing just wait till it unlocks and then you can choose WRITE.it will erase the flash and write the file.

Saleem do you recomend I do it from windows using the dosflash32? I've just downloaded it and have a dos and windows version.

Sorry to keep on but it would seem DosFlash32 is not detecting the sata device I retrieved I/O port as EC00E800 using extreme boot maker but EC00 does not come up and E800 is listed twice as IDE master and IDE Slahve under the available drives to flash in DosFlash do you know any possible solution?

If not any chance I would be able to use your services if I posted my Ms28 over to you along with the ID Key from Orig.bin?

There is no reason why you should not be able to flash that MS28 with the via card you have, I flash sammy's all the time using that combination, always works fine, never had one not flashable yet.
Try MTKFlash from a bootable usb stick prepared with iPrep 101 v006.1, make sure the option to patch MTKFlash is ticked when you create the boot disk.
Create your hacked firmware using the batch files that comes with the iXtreme v1.4 firmware you downloaded and your orig.bin from your samsung drive, this will create hacked firmware with the filename ix14.bin (read the readme with the firmware archive, explains it all)
Once the boot disk is made with success, copy the firmware .bin you want to flash into the \tools directory on the usb stick. Disconnect any other optical drives from your PC and make sure the 360 drive is connected to the primary port on your sata card.
Boot into your USB stick with the 360 drive powered on, choose Y when asked and at the cmd prompt, cd to tools directory and type this command :
mtkflash w /m ix14.bin
Then hit enter, you should be given one drive as an option :
1. Xtreme Pri Master at this point power the drive off, hit 1 on your keyboard and count 10 seconds from the moment you hit the key, then power the drive back on. MTKFlash should start flashing, all 4 banks will flash and you will be given a success message. If the 10 sec trick does not work the first time, try 6, 8, 12, 14 seconds (sometimes longer, sammys can be diff like that)
I use MTKFlash to flash samsungs with my 6421 every time and every time it works, no problems.

i,ve been following this thread as i have just flashed a samsung m28 & spoofed it to a liteon board . it worked ok apart from it will only play certain backups has anyone any ideas as to why that would happen it seems to have a problem when it has to play video parts of the game

he went and bricked the drive.he sent it to me and i have unbricked it and hacked it for him so it dont matter anymore.
