Lately there are lots of people claiming hey have found a new exploit or downgrader for 2.5.....

This sadness is screwing the PSP-Scene completely!

ALL those lamers who think they are funny (or whatever they feel when they tell bullshit) are a sad kind op people for the community.

If you are a lamer who enjoy's this actions please realise that you ruin the scene and stop your stupid actions.. It will help you from bans on the several forums...

GreetZ to iball and funjita for their patience and realistic thoughts in the scene.....

I kind of disagree. I find them actually pretty fun, if you just avoid being gullible (I know you arent) and believing everything people say. I also think this kind of behavior cannot really be avoided in the anonymous world of internet forums.

What is restraining a bored loser from posting bullshit, when he knows nobody can do anything against it ? Nothing. You just have to take them lightly, laugh when you read such unbelievable made-up stories and believe in something ONLY when you get a proof.

Well, that's my opinion anyway ;)

it is a shame there is all this crap goin on in the scene...

i wish things were back to how it was when humma release fastloader n things were actually real and progressing...

now its just a bunch of bs by lamers trying to make money off donations and hits on there websites....

if there is someone out there doing some actual useful development then please speak up!

its also very very annoying seeing all these n00bs that haven't got a freakin clue falling for all this ****... i keep stopping myself from posting telling them they are idiots...

ah well, i hope the scene picks up soon... or i'm sorry to say but sony is going to win the battle against homebrew... cause seriously... how long are people going to not play GTA: LCS? i am nearly at the stage of upgrading myself...

Gimmie a break, his is how it’s always been. Sure it is worse for the PSP scene, but that’s because handhelds are mostly bought for kids, and kids are liars, braggarts, and gullible. Get used to it. It's only getting worse after x-mas.

it hasnt always been like this. before yoshihiro everything was good. we had buster making some good iso loaders (hookboot and devhook), we had humma with FL, we had alonetrio from wab release the first ever iso loader and trainer too. there were no bullshitters announcing release dates. we just had cool stuff released all the time, without notice, the way it should be.

Every "scene" goes through this...take the emulation scene for example...
I was around when TheBrain decided to go yellow (old timers will remember that one), when #snesemu was basically split in two over the mindrape incident, when Marat decided the windows community was full of leechers and decided to go commercial, when DC shutdown and AR was basically handed over to TyphoonZ, the mudslinging between the snes97 team and the zsnes team, the controversy over yoshi's docs, when emunews and node99 which were pretty much the only reliable sources to keep up when you couldnt hang out in irc closed down. Through all of it there were cry's that the scene was ruined, that it went to main stream, that it would never recover from people leaving. It survived, granted its different, but in some ways its alot more mature.

Perhaps whats happening now with the PSP community is a good thing, those that are worried about your lack of ability to pirate the latest games can make good their "threats" and trade in their PSP's for DS's while those that really do like the homebrew and emulators can stick it out and enjoy the product of some really talented and creative people. The kiddies will leave or grow more silent just like they did in the emulation community and things will get better. Some can call it the breaking down of the "scene" I call it the cleansing of a community. Here's a clue for those who bash humma and others who have grown tired of the mess....none of the brilliant people that have brought us these great applications and utilities owes you anything, in fact if anything we all owe them our utmost respect and admiration.

nice post grapeape. looks like youve been around the scene for a long time. but i agree, this slowing down of the hacking scene might be a good noob repellant until a major hack comes along like kernel mode on 2.0 or another WORKING exploit on 2.01+
