is it possible for a person like me (knows a little about computers but not a genius) to flash their drive themselves? If so what skills are required to do it. And is anybody here willing to flash a drive for me if i sent it to them?

It isn't to difficult to flash a drive depending upon the type of ROM. I have done a Samsung MS28 myself with limitied knowledge.
Alternatively, there are people out there who will flash it for you for what I consider a reasonable amount. I had another 360 done that I found hard to flash done by some one on the forums. PM me and I can tell you who.

Yea, all u need is a tut and anyone can do it. Its not hard. You just need a sata port on your pc though.

It really isn't that difficult to do if you have the right setup.
Just one thing .....

Do you think it is wise to ask about getting your drive flashed when you are showing your XboxLive Gamer tag as your signature

You need a grasp of the software and know how, or you could brick your drive and then it is only good as a paper weight. I would recomend looking at finding someone who could do it for you.

sure anyone can flash a drive ,internet is full off tutorials ,find your type of drive, find a tut and off you go ,just don't go in blind and do a lot of reading.
jungleflasher is a good place to start . then when you think you know it all ,find a tut on youtube so you can see it in action.
