If you want to create these files legally for your own firmware, use fakeupdater. It decrypts _all_ firmware .pbps up to 2.5.

Allan.

Don't you need to run a custom psardumper on 2.5 to get a dump from 2.5?
And as far as I know, there is NO WAY to run homebrew on 2.5 at all.
So yeah, it sounds fake. Unless they just decrypted and dumped the 2.5 UPDATE itself....hmmm.

Its just the decrypted PSAR from the v2,5 Update Eboot ;)

i didnt even download it but i know that its not a firmware dump seeing as the thread says theres a readme file which is made from the psardumper app which also doesnt seperate the files into proper folders.

Ummm... You don't need to run psardumper or fakeupdater on a higher firmware. It'll run on 1.5 and decrypt 1.5 - 2.5. However, it doesn't appear to do the 1.0 debug update.

It's not a fake as such - It's just nowhere near as hard as they're pretending it is.

Cheers,

Allan.
