Playstation Official Magazine UK gives LittleBigPlanet 10/10

Playstation Official Magazine UK has reviewed LittleBigPlanet and given it a 10/10. The mag says that it empowers you in a way that was previously confined to the pc modding scene and actual game developers. They conclude that you would have to have a sack for brains to miss out on this one.

Did you really expect them to rate it anything less? This is really there big holiday season game.. for them to give it anything less than a 10 would have been suicide.

there is so much hype around this "game" that they couldnt afford to give it anything less than 10 its the halo effect again, possibly with even less reason.

Yep, its a Sony mag but I got to tell you I am really enjoying the beta right now and I really am thinking about getting this game instead of PES2009 unless the Online isn't **** like PES2008.

I tried out this 360 level yesterday where there is this switch to turn on the 360 and these red rings drop down onto the level. The creativity and user generated content is the true selling point of this game and it's so much fun!

Wow another double post as I answered to this news last week on this very site. This has more substance and reason to get a high score than halo or any of the over hyped rubbish of last year. But obviously drop 1 point of score for official magazine.

My stereo goes to 10 but thats not the loudest volume in there is - just the loudest it can do. Giving a game a 10 means tops marks, not this is perfect in everyway no game can ever beat this.

Otherwise you would never award a 10 and mark all games out of 1-9 hence 9 would be top marks and no game would ever get a 9 as thats the best score a game can get which no game can be so you mark it 8 and so on.

1 to 10 is a sliding scale , 1=arse 10 = loved it
the word perfect does not apply here.

You'd be right if you weren't talking about a AAA title. If you don't think LBP will be AAA, then you need to wake up, because LBP has potential to knock Mario off the platformer throne.

You are correct, the Little Big Planets is nothing more but a copy of the Mario, the creators bring shame to themselves and Should destroy gaming code!!!! :mad:

No demo = I'm not buying. My expectations of this game are so high to be shot down in complete and utter disappointment, once again, in spending $60 for an overhyped game that doesn't deliver. Not just from the obvious Sony fanboy gloating here, but the hype from Sony. This game is practically being sold as the video game Holy Grail. The video I saw yesterday doesn't show me that at ALL. You can have all the creativity you want, but shitty controls are shitty controls when it is said and done. We all saw the video of the Mario level. What part of those slow sluggish controls equaled a perfect 10? Sorry...I'm not seeing it.

Knock Mario off his throne? An awefully bold and stupid statement to make since LBP hasn't even been released or proven itself. Mario (the main Mario game I mean not the spinoffs) is a platformer. LBG is PART platformer. If they fix the controls before it is released next month...great. But, at this stage it should be practically finished and a perfect 10 should not control like that.

yeah, official Playstation mag gives its own game a perfect... come on... xbox mags give their own games 10.. whats the point, ratings have gone down hill.. go rent the game first before you decide.. its nice your able to download the games now on xbox and ps3, kinda helps you decide what game you want or dont..

Well I get the feeling my little sisters will like this game, maybe even my mom, so I'm pondering getting it. I haven't really enjoyed many platformers lately... the last game with platforming elements that I enjoyed was Valkyrie Profile if I remember correctly.

I hope they release a demo for it though, because I just don't trust ratings from any of these magazines.
