IGN has put up a preview of Resistance 2 and aren't that impressed at the moment. The controls are clunky and overly sensitive in their eyes and in addition to this the game needs visual polish and some frame rate improvements. However, Insomniac should get all this sorted in time for release day...
As of right now, I'm a little concerned with how the game controls because I found the aiming mechanics to be a bit clunky and almost overly-sensitive. Even after adjusting the sensitivity in the options menu, I was still having trouble executing more precise shots.
And as good as the game looks, I still think it could use some tuning. I understand that the games on the show floor are often unfinished products, but I hope that the framerate is polished in the coming months. Resistance fans shouldn't have to worry, though: the folks over at Insomniac Games really know what they're doing.
So while I wasn't overly happy with Resistance 2 on the floor, there'll hopefully be new content to see later in the show over the next few days, so I recommend you keep your eyes peeled as we hunt down more Chimera.
