Trouble with old homebrews on 4.01

I have a few homebrews for 1.5 but I cant get them to work. I enabled the setting in the recovery menu that sets the homebrew game folder to use the 1.5 kernel but I keep getting the error that the game could not be started.

That's only for the Phat PSP. If you have a Slim PSP, you have to use the Time Machine software (at the same site) to run 1.5-based software.

Yes, I have a slim psp. Ok when I run Time Machine the Time Machine Installer screen pops up which looks like this:
Time Machine Installer

Install iplloader on PSP MS boot sector
Convert Pandora/DC1-DC4 ipl into TM format
Install 1.50 (PHAT)
Install 1.50 with 3.40 hw modules (PHAT&SLIM)
Install 3.40 OE (PHAT)
Install 3.60 M33 (SLIM)

So witch option would I choose? Installing the other FW's, wouldnt that mess up my 4.01 M33?

No, your 4.01 M33 is installed on your PSP's NAND (Internal Flash Memory) TimeMachine installs other firmwares to your memory stick... make sure you have read the readme file (there are files needed by the TimeMachine installer that you have to download separately, due to copyright issues) you want the 1.50 with 3.40 hardware modules option...

So if I select the 1.5/3.4 option it will install what is needed on the MS? So, I just need to reboot to get back to 4.01. Just want to be sure I'm not gonna screw my psp.

and which folders do I use for the 1.5 homebrew? I have two folders one has a "%" and the other doesnt, but both have an eboot.

I followed the guide, twice. I still havent been able to get TM to load 1.5. Everything went smooth with no errors. So I dont know what to do with it.
