More Metal Gear Solid Multidisk EBOOT problems

I'm having terrible trouble at getting Metal Gear Solid running on my PSP...i have the multidisk eboot in my PSP, and all it does is stop after the Playstation logo...the only way that anything has run on screen is when i press reset using disk 2...theni get to the main menu and i select new game, and it asks me to switch the disks...here's the problem, after i select switch ti disc 1 via the home button, it says press start, and it the game stays in "Now Checking" status and never proceeds...i dont know which POPs to use, can somebody please help me?!

I have just tried using 3.72, 3.71 and the other POPs, but the game just ends up not functioning...i have tried changing the games ID to SLPM86114 (searched that up), and everything just turns black after the Playstation Logo.........................!!!!!!
