Phantasy Star portable (Japanese full version)

so I recently received the full version of PSP (That's Phantasy Star Portable) and I was wondering if it is possible to transfer the Japanese save file back to the english one.

If not, then...I think i may be wasting my time.

I haven't read up on the demo but the full version says something about importing.

So, what's up with the demo? How far does it go and what can you do? What are the limits? etc, etc, etc.

What is currently being called "Phantasy Star Portable" will be based on Phantasy Star Universe and its latest expansion, Ambition of the Illuminus. Phantasy Star Portable is slated to be released in Japan on July 31 2008. No release outside of Japan has been announced.

A demo of Phantasy Star Portable was released and is available for direct download on several websites. The demo is in Japanese, and allows players to complete two missions in the Story mode.

=P I read up on wiki a long time ago. The problem is that wiki had nothing to offer. So a quick google search did not help me out as much as I wanted it to. Apparently there is a english demo as well. This would eliminate the "never exist" and turn it into a maybe. I saw a release date set for Oct. something.

I just want to know if I can convert a Japanese save data for that game to english when the game comes in. That way I wont have to start all over.

the trick is though at the moment no one outside of SEGA knows if its gonna come to another country so finding out if the save can be converted is kinda pointless since another version doesn't exist ATM.

Aaaah I see, so the question will be more so about a patch for the game. If it doesnt make it here it would be a shame...I can read some Japanese, but translating can be a pain. At least they speak as the words show up. So translating kanji is much easier than say, MHP2G

As far as I am aware, there is still only the japanese demo and a lot of people hoping for an english one.

more likely than not with as popular as PSO is and was it will probally be ported to another country like the americas and europe

The full game is out. I have it on my psp. Actually, due to lack of walkthroughs I may start one up if people want to help out.


I will create a thread.

(I've googled the hell out of phantasy star and I found no faq besides the menu.)
