ok guys, im still running the nforce chipset, i never gave up and finally with just the right of everything I got the iprep to read the firmware.

i don't know but it didn't go as noted in any of the tutorials. here's exactly what I did.

-boot off usb
-hit yes to agree
-typed the command dben xxxxxxx xxxxx
-with the 360 off I hit continue
-yes to resend mtk
-but it didn't go from 0x51 and 0xD1, it started from 0x7F, then suddenly to 0x73 and the dumping started
-everything ok, then firmtools loaded and then comes success in green

however when it prompt to turn the 360 off, which I did and, then turned back on to continue with the erase and flashing, it again didn't show the status going from 51 to D1, staight to 73 and erasing started. From there it showed ok, then right under that "invalid drive status".

I didn't know what's up but I had no choice but to proceed, it went to the flashing stage and again I powered the 360 off then back on as usual, yet only 3 banks were flashed successfully, the forth errored out with "invalid drive status".

I attempted to erase and flash so many times, I spent well over 2 hours trying it over and over again but still the same thing. I skipped on reading and making the modded bin as it was already done with success. I have 3 backups of my original binary.

so what do you guys think, am I screwed, can this still be rectified and have you guys seen this situation before?

thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it. sorry for all the grammar errors if there are any, its been a long day and late night.

i'm not a iprep vet, i'm sure someone else can help you though.

all i can say is try it with dosflash32, see if you can get it to flash with that.

you should've tried that way first off seeing as you have n4 an you wouldn't have had to bother with iprep/booting to usb or none of that crap.

just try reflashing with df32, it should work fine for you.

reading
1. agree to terms
2. dben 1234567 xxxxx
3. turn the 360 on leave it on for 5 seconds then off
4. resend command
5. turn 360 on

Erasing
1. fben 1234567 xxxxx
2. turn the 360 on leave it on for 5 seconds then off
3. resend command
4. turn 360 on

Writing
1. turn the 360 on leave it on for 5 seconds then off
2. resend command
3. turn 360 on

for the writing part straight after the erase you can just press enter and it will write the firmware no need to through turning it on and off but thought i'd post it to make sure

now it freezes on erasing... after getting the status of 0x73. it didn't go from 51 to d1, straight to 73.

I can't do the dosflash32 method since I run in raid0 with windows, I cannot detect the sata ports properly.

any other idea guys? this is my first time flashing I hope not end up with a bricked 360. thanks guys.

Hi,Try to deactivate Raid0 from the bios,it's not recommended to be on Raid for flashing(check the textbook)..
also try changing the Sata port you're flashing from..
i'hope this helps...good luck
