Downgrading 3.90 m33-3 to 3.30 oe-X or lower?

Hi, I have a PSP Phat with FW 3.90 m33-3 and I would like to go back.
The problem is, I don't have the recovery file. Is there another way to return back? Could someone post his/her recovery files? I do have a spare battery for pandora, but it's el cementerio..meeehh thing, that turns it to 3.90 m33..

I know they do work with 3.90 m33, (with popsloader plugin), but I'd like to play Final Fantasy VIII (8) on it, and as far as I know, it doesn't work on 3.90 m33 (for me). I tried to rip it off of the official game, tried to download it, tried to ass for help, but it didn't work so far. Maybe it's because it is an Europe version?:O<---

why not just use popsloader to run the version of pops that'll run the game to your liking? i'm failing to see the issue with this method.

Well, each time I try to run that eboot of that game, I see that PSX logo, then it gets stuck, this one is the self-rip one. The download one doesn't work at all, I see that black screen with white text, then it gets stuck, or black. By the way.. I already tried changing versions.. Uhh.. What version of pops do you use?:O

do NOT downgrade!!!!!! ff8 is BEST on pops 3.9! Stop and start reading the ff8 thread!

And it sounds like you installed the popsloader plugin WITHOUT the firmware files ;p see the stickied popsloader tutorial thread in the ps1 forum. ff8 WILL crash in 3.30 :)
And as for your eboot, it also doesn't boot because the pal version of ff8 is protected. It will not boot at all if not patched.
So rip ff8 with imgburn, patch it with one of these ff8 ppf's: http://www.ngemu.com/misc.php?action=ppf (depending on the language your ff8 has) using something like ppf patcher. Then make it into an eboot.
