Second best PS3 controller found - NYKO's Zero Wireless

AOL's GD has conducted a mini-review on Nyko's third party controller for use with the PS3. It seems to pack pretty good value for money with only some minor negatives which don't get in the way of a worthy purchase. It comes with two battery packs, SIXAXIS motion controls, added comfort, vibration feedback and improved dual action buttons which has them declaring its the second best choice for playing your PS3 games.



Does that mean we wouldn't buy it? No. Actually, the negatives are pretty minor compared to what gamers get for their money. Gamers with larger hands might find the device cramped, but packed with two battery packs, SIXAXIS motion controls, added comfort for long playing marathons, vibration feedback, backlit action buttons and improved dual analog sticks. Nyko's Zero Wireless controller clearly makes Sony's DualShock 3 the second best choice for playing your PlayStation 3 games.

Yeah, I don't like those circular d-pads as well, makes it so imprecise at times.

I wonder how much Nyko paid for that? This is from AOL folks... not much integrity here. They shill for crappy movies as well. The Logitech controllers have better D Pads and comfortable form factors. I cant wait for the next logi ps3 controller. The cool stream was very good.

Why does it look like a 360 Wireless controller?! Just the Dpad is flipped with the joystick on the left. I call crap and the big battery pack with the Usb dongle just lower its value.

I don't mind circular d-pads. I actually prefer them. But the d-pad on this controller is loose and feels extremely cheap.

i just wish i could buy a joypad for my ps3 that had the same layout as the 360 pad. the position of the analogue sticks on the 360 pad is far more comfortable than on the ps pad.

in fact, i'd say the 360 pad is better in every respect apart from the 360's rather dodgy d-pad. thats why i bought one of these for my pc.

Sony could do with switching the D-Pad and left analog stick's positions. MS could do with a better D-Pad.

Did that article describe the Dualshock as "hand cramping?" I've been using dualshock form factor for years and never experienced hand cramps or discomfort of any kind. Are there a significant amount of people that experience hand cramps using a dualshock?

i dont get how people can like it - its just so extremely uncomfortable.
and, man, the dualshock sure is ugly.

sony sais they are so future-oriented with the ps3 - why is the dualshock still as bad as it was 10 years ago?
the prototype boomerang-controller seemed to be more comfortable just by looking at it.
